THE RETURN OF GALLIANO- MARGIELA’S NEW CREATIVE DIRECTOR
After three years of invisibility, John Galliano finally makes a comeback and joins hands with the House of Margiela. Currently appointed as the creative director, the world acclaimed designer was last under scrutiny for his anti-Semitic remarks which cost him his job at Dior. He was later sacked by Bernard Arnault, Chief Creative Director of LVMH.
As a part of the design team for Margiela, he would showcase designs for Couture along with Women’s and Men’s ready-to-wear. The first show for Martin Margiela under the creative vision for Maison Martin Margiela would be showcased in Paris Couture Week next year in January 2015.
John Galliano known for his theatrical and romantic getup will switch lanes into the world of avant garde in the atelier of Margiela. Although he’d be testing new waters, he would surely emerge out as successful. There is no dearth of talent in him. Just as Renzo Rosso, the ‘Jeans Genius’ pumped in fresh air to the label when it was on the verge of dying out, so shall he raise it up a notch in the coming future.
This is sure to be his grand re-entry in the domain of fashion. This highly expressive designer’s upcoming collection will be nothing short of brilliant.
